Best Facebook Scheduler for Small Business (2026)

For a small business, Facebook is often still the page customers check first: opening hours, offers, photos, reviews from neighbours. Keeping it active is the hard part when you're also running the business.

A scheduler fixes that, but Facebook scheduling has changed in the last two years, and some of the advice online is out of date. Here's what matters in 2026, and four schedulers compared, starting with the free one Meta gives you.

Two changes to know before you choose

Every Facebook video is now a Reel. Meta says that since June 2025, "All videos posted to Facebook are now shared as reels." So a scheduler that handles Facebook Reels properly matters more than it did.

No outside tool can auto-post to Facebook Groups. Meta removed the ability for apps to publish to Groups on 22 April 2024. Any third-party scheduler that still claims to post to Groups automatically is out of date; the best they can do is send you a reminder to post it yourself. Meta's own tool can still schedule to Groups.

What a small business needs from a Facebook scheduler

  1. Page posts, Reels and Stories, all scheduled from one place.
  2. Instagram too. Most small businesses post the same photo to both.
  3. The other places customers look, such as Google Business Profile, if you have a shop or serve a local area.
  4. A price that fits, ideally free to start.
  5. Something you can run alone, in a few minutes a week.

1. Meta Business Suite: free, and enough for Facebook and Instagram only

Meta Business Suite is free and covers Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp.

What it does well:

  • Schedules Page posts, Reels and Stories, and can post to Facebook Groups
  • Posts the same content to Facebook, Instagram and Threads together
  • Suggests "Active times", based on when your followers were most active over the past seven days
  • Free, with no account limits

Where it falls short:

  • You can only schedule between 20 minutes and 29 days ahead, so no planning a festival campaign two months out.
  • It only posts to Meta's apps. Google Business Profile, YouTube, LinkedIn and the rest need separate tools.
  • Bulk-uploading Reels works for one Facebook Page only, and not for Instagram.

Pick it if Facebook and Instagram are your only channels and you plan a few weeks at a time.

2. PostStage: Facebook, Instagram and Google Business Profile in one place

Best for: small businesses that post to Facebook, Instagram and a few other places, especially in India.

PostStage publishes to Facebook Pages and 15 other networks from one composer, including Instagram, Google Business Profile, YouTube and Telegram channels.

On Facebook:

  • Photos, videos up to 100 MB, Reels and Stories
  • "Post as a Reel" for a vertical video of 3 to 90 seconds. Meta allows 30 Reels a day per Page through outside apps; past that, PostStage posts it as a feed video and tells you.
  • A first comment posted right after the post goes live, on every plan
  • Post Series: schedule up to 20 photos and videos one after another, to Facebook Pages and Instagram accounts together
  • A suggested time to post from your Page's own engagement

Across platforms:

  • Schedule as far ahead as you like, or post now
  • Posts go out at the exact second you choose
  • Google Business Profile posts with offers, events and buttons like Order online or Call
  • Link tracking that labels links to your website, so Google Analytics shows which post brought each visit

Price: Free for 1 account and 15 posts a month. Starter is ₹499 a month (₹399 billed yearly), or $6 outside India, for 15 accounts and 60 posts per account a month, paid in rupees by UPI or card. 14-day free trial, no card.

Where it falls short: no Facebook Groups (no outside tool can) and no personal profiles, only Pages.

3. Buffer: simple and familiar

Best for: businesses that want the simplest possible tool for a few channels.

Buffer's free plan covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts each. Essentials is $5 per channel a month billed yearly.

On Facebook: Page posts, Reels (on Pages only) and Stories with one image or video each. First comments on paid plans, for regular Page posts only, not Reels or Stories. Groups only as a reminder for you to post yourself. Up to 35 posts per 24 hours.

Pick it if you post to two or three channels and want something you'll learn in ten minutes.

4. Post Planner: for finding things to post

Best for: businesses that struggle with what to post more than when.

Post Planner's paid plans start at $9 a month billed yearly ($14 monthly) for 3 accounts and 150 scheduled posts, and there's a free plan for one account. Its strength is content discovery: it shows the best-performing posts from any public Facebook Page, star-rated by engagement, so you can share or adapt what already works. It also recycles evergreen posts automatically.

On Facebook: Reels on every plan, including Free; Stories; carousels of up to 10 images. First comments start on the Growth plan ($39 a month billed yearly).

Watch out for: its posting plans can publish "randomly within 20 minutes" of a slot, which is useful for looking natural but not for a sale that starts at 6 PM. Choose exact times for anything time-sensitive.
