Connect PostStage to Claude

Connect it

You need a PostStage account and a Claude account.

1. In Claude (on the web, the desktop app or the phone app), open Customize, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector.
2. Name it PostStage and paste this address:https://trypoststage.com/api/mcp
3. Choose Connect. PostStage opens, you sign in if you need to, and you see exactly what Claude will be able to do. Choose Connect Claude.

What Claude can do

• Read your accounts, posts and stats

  Your connected accounts, the queue and calendar, how published posts did and the best times to post, in every workspace you belong to.

• Use your brand profile

  What you sell, your audience and your tone, so drafts sound like you.

• Write drafts

  Create drafts for up to 10 accounts at once, change them and delete them, with captions, hashtags and an Instagram first comment.

• Add photos and videos

  From your PostStage media library, from a link you give it, or through PostStage's upload box in the chat.

What it can't do

• Schedule, publish or approve anything: you open the draft in PostStage to do that
• Change scheduled, pending or published posts
• Connect, remove or change your social accounts
• See your billing, your password or your social accounts' access
• Read your Inbox messages or comments

Things to ask

• “I want to use my own photo for a post.”
• “Rewrite the caption on draft PS-1A2B3C so it fits X.”
• “Delete the drafts you made today.”

Each draft comes back with a link: open it in PostStage to add anything else and schedule it. Drafts from Claude are marked “From Claude” on your Drafts page, and your Activity log shows what Claude changed.

Photos and videos

Claude can't pass a photo you attach to the chat on to PostStage. Instead, when you want to use your own photo, Claude shows PostStage's upload box in the chat: drop the photo or video there and it goes to your PostStage media library, ready for the draft. Claude Code shows no box: upload in PostStage, then ask Claude to use your latest upload.

• JPEG or PNG photos up to 10 MB, MP4 or MOV videos up to 100 MB.
• A public link to the file itself works too (not a page that shows it).
• Uploads count toward your plan's monthly upload allowance. A file no post uses is removed after 7 days.

Limits

• 200 drafts and 30 photo or video imports a day from Claude.
• 60 requests a minute, so a runaway loop can't flood your account.
• Your plan's limits apply as they do in PostStage: posting to several accounts at once needs a plan with Cross-Post.
• In team workspaces, your role applies: a Viewer can read but not make drafts.

Disconnect

In PostStage, open Settings → Connected apps and choose Disconnect; Claude stops working with PostStage straight away. Removing the connector in Claude works too. Changing your PostStage password, or signing out of all other devices, disconnects every app.
