Planoly vs RecurPost: Which One Fits How You Post?
"Planoly vs RecurPost" is a search people make when they want to stop posting by hand, but the two tools solve different problems:
- Planoly is a visual planner. You arrange your Instagram grid before it goes live, and you can sell products and services from its link-in-bio store.
- RecurPost is a recycling scheduler. You build libraries of evergreen posts and it keeps sharing them on a schedule, across ten networks.
So the real question is whether you mostly post new content and care how it looks, or have content worth repeating. Here's the detail, from each company's own site in October 2026.

Planoly: plan the grid, sell from the bio
Planoly says "we invented grid planning", and its planner is still the reason to use it. You see upcoming Instagram posts in the layout your profile will have, above the ones already live, with tabs for the grid, Reels and Stories, and placeholders for posts you haven't made yet.
On Instagram, Planoly auto-posts feed posts, Reels and Stories (one item per Story), and carousels of up to 10. It schedules a first comment on posts and Reels on paid plans. Collaborators, user, location and product tags, music and Instagram analytics need your Instagram connected through a Facebook Page.
Creator Store turns your link in bio into a shop for products, services and content, and Planoly takes no cut of sales.
What it doesn't do is repeat anything. There's no recycling or evergreen queue. You can duplicate a post, but the copy is a draft with no date, and it "consumes one post from your plan's allowance". Bulk create saves up to 20 posts at a time, as drafts you then schedule.
Prices: Starter is $14 a month billed yearly ($16 monthly) for 1 workspace, 1 user and unlimited posts. Growth is $24 ($28 monthly) for 2 workspaces and 2 users; Professional $47 ($55) for 6. Each workspace connects one account per network. The free plan includes 10 posts a month, without the media library, AI caption writer or analytics.
RecurPost: put your best posts back to work
RecurPost's libraries are the reason to use it. You add posts to a library, give the library time slots, and RecurPost keeps sharing them on that schedule. One-time libraries post each item once and retire it.
On Instagram, Business accounts get feed posts, Reels and Stories published automatically; Creator accounts get feed posts and Reels, with Stories sent to your phone. First comments work on library posts too, so a recycled post brings its first comment back with it. RecurPost recommends at least 20 posts per library so repeats don't come round too often.
Beyond Instagram, it publishes to ten networks, including LinkedIn company pages, Google Business Profile and Bluesky, which matters if you're a local business or B2B. Every plan includes a social inbox, AI writing, best-time suggestions and CSV bulk upload. Client approvals and white-label reports come with the Agency plan.
What it doesn't do: there's no link-in-bio page and no real grid planner, only a grid view of what's scheduled.
Prices: Starter is $9 a month for 2 accounts, Personal $25 for 5, Agency $79 for 20 accounts and 3 users. Yearly billing gives two months free. There's no free plan.
Which should you pick?
Pick Planoly if:
- Instagram is your main channel and you plan by how the grid looks
- You sell products, services or digital content from your link in bio
- You mostly post new content rather than repeating old posts
Pick RecurPost if:
- You have evergreen content (tips, testimonials, product highlights, blog links) worth repeating
- You post to LinkedIn, Google Business Profile or Bluesky as well as Instagram
- You want an inbox and AI writing on the cheapest plan
A third option: PostStage
PostStage is a scheduler built in India that sits between the two:
- 16 networks from one composer, Google Business Profile, YouTube and Bluesky included
- Instagram Business and Creator accounts both auto-publish posts, carousels, Reels and Stories, with no Facebook Page needed, and a first comment on every plan
- Evergreen repeats (Starter and above): send a published Instagram, Facebook or TikTok post out again every 30, 60, 90 or 180 days, with optional AI rewording. Simpler than RecurPost's libraries, but no extra tool.
- Posts go out at the exact second you set
- Free for 1 account and 15 posts a month; Starter ₹499 a month (₹399 billed yearly), or $6 outside India, for 15 accounts, paid in rupees by UPI or card
It has no grid planner, no link-in-bio store and no library-style recycling.
