Vista Social Alternatives for Instagram Scheduling
Vista Social is a capable Instagram scheduler. It publishes posts, carousels, Reels and Stories, schedules up to ten comments under a post, adds Instagram's trending audio to Reels, and tags people, products and places. If those are the features you use, it's hard to replace.
People look for alternatives for two other reasons:
- Price. Vista's cheaper Standard plan is now a legacy plan "no longer publicly offered". The cheapest current plan, Professional, is $99 a month, or $950 a year (about $79 a month), for 15 profiles and 2 users.
- The Facebook Page requirement. Vista says "Autoposting is only available for Instagram Business and Creator Profiles that are linked to a Facebook Page."
If you mainly need Instagram scheduling, for one brand or a few, here are five alternatives, with prices and features checked on each tool's own site in October 2026.

1. PostStage: Instagram-first, Creator accounts included, priced in rupees
Best for: creators and brands, especially in India, who want every Instagram format to auto-publish without linking a Facebook Page.
PostStage connects through Instagram's own login, so there's no Facebook Page to set up, and Business and Creator accounts both auto-publish:
- Feed posts, carousels of up to 10, Reels with a cover frame you pick, and Stories
- A first comment on every plan, Free included
- Collab posts with up to 3 co-authors
- Comment-to-DM: everyone who comments a keyword gets your link in their DMs (Pro)
- A suggested time to post from your own account's engagement, on every plan
- Posts that go out at the exact second you schedule them, and the same post to 15 other networks if you want
Price: Free for 1 account and 15 posts a month. Starter is ₹499 a month (₹399 billed yearly), or $6 ($5 yearly) outside India, for 15 accounts. Pro is ₹999 for 30 accounts and 10 seats. Billing is in rupees by UPI or card.
What Vista has that PostStage doesn't: user, product and location tags, trending audio on Reels, more than one scheduled comment, review management, and a grid planner.
2. Later: the visual planner
Best for: brands that plan their grid visually and want a link-in-bio page in the same tool.
Later's plans are Starter ($18.75 a month billed yearly: 8 profiles, 1 user, 30 posts per profile a month), Growth ($37.50: 16 profiles, 2 users, 180 posts per profile) and Scale ($82.50: 48 profiles, 4 users).
- A drag-and-drop visual planner
- Auto-publishing for Business and Creator accounts, with carousels of up to 10 photos and videos and up to 3 collaborators
- Link in Bio on every plan
- Best time to post for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
Watch out for: Stories only auto-publish from Business accounts (Creator accounts get a reminder), auto-published Reels take original audio only, and Starter's 30 posts per profile a month is tight for daily posting.
3. Metricool: analytics first, with a usable free plan
Best for: people who want strong analytics alongside scheduling, and a free plan to start on.
Metricool's free plan covers one brand and 20 posts a month (LinkedIn and X excluded). Starter is from $20 a month billed yearly, or $25 monthly.
- Auto-publishes Instagram posts, Reels, trial Reels and Stories for Business or Creator accounts
- Carousels of up to 10, and up to 5 collaborators
- Analytics, competitor tracking and link in bio
Watch out for: first comments work on feed posts only, not Reels or Stories. Stories with links, mentions or stickers, and Reels with audio outside Metricool's library, go to your phone instead.
4. Buffer: the simple option
Best for: small businesses posting to Instagram plus one or two other networks.
Buffer's free plan covers 3 channels with 10 scheduled posts each. Essentials is $5 per channel a month billed yearly.
- Auto-publishes photos, carousels (up to 10, photos and videos mixed), videos, Reels and Stories for Business or Creator accounts
- Start Page, a free link-in-bio page
- First comments on paid plans
Watch out for: posts with music, Stories with links or text, and product tags go to your phone. First comments don't work on Stories. Per-channel pricing adds up once you have several brands.
5. Planoly: the grid planner
Best for: creators who care most about how the grid looks and want to sell through their link in bio.
Planoly's Starter is $14 a month billed yearly ($16 monthly) for 1 workspace and unlimited posts; Growth is $24 and Professional $47. The free plan includes 10 posts a month.
- A grid planner showing upcoming posts above the ones already live ("we invented grid planning", Planoly says)
- Auto-posts Instagram posts, Reels and Stories, with carousels of up to 10
- First comments on posts and Reels
- Creator Store, a link-in-bio shop that takes no cut of sales
Watch out for: collaborators, location and product tags need Instagram linked through a Facebook Page. Analytics and best time to post are paid features.
